Information and AwarenessThe obstacles to wellness differ with different disease states. Therefore, each disease-specific program has different emphasis and activities. However, CAP Programs share common goals because the foundation of all activities, programs, projects, and initiatives are guided by the two focus strategies of providing advocacy and state-of-the-art information. The goals of the Caring Ambassadors Programs are to improve the quality of life of people living with hepatitis C and lung cancer through advocacy, information, and support by:
State-of-the-Art InformationThe struggle to overcome chronic disease is constantly changing and so are medical technology treatment options; providing accurate, up-to-date information is the foundation of all CAP programs. All persons facing a chronic/long-term illness deserve readily accessible, understandable information about their condition. This knowledge empowers those living with a condition to fully participate in maximizing their own health, and enables people to make informed decisions about their care. AdvocacyCAP programs enthusiastically advocate for the health of our constituents. The specific needs of our programs dictate different strategies, but our bottom line is we do whatever it takes to protect and promote the wellness of our constituents.
